Civil Rights Game
MLB has just announced that a new game called the Civil Rights Game will be played each season prior to opening day. The game will be played in Memphis, Tennessee. The inaugural game will be played on March 31 between the Cleveland Indians and the St. Louis Cardinals beginning at 5:30 EST. The game will be carried on ESPN TV. The Civil Rights game is a ceremonial event, the game will not count in any standings. The Cardinals will travel home after the game to open the season against the Mets the following evening.
