If game 1 is rained out tonight which is a possiblity, the Mets and Cardinals will play the first game of the seven game series tomorrow night at 8:19PM.  Game 2 will be played on Friday afternoon at 4:00PM. There would then be no off day.  The series would stay on schedule as it shifts to St. Louis.

Since the Mets will begin their seventh National League Championship Series tonight, I thought it was only appropriate that we look back on the other six the Mets have participated in.    more »

I happened to be driving around at lunch today.  While listening to ESPN and WFAN radio I was simply astounded that all the talk revolved around the Yankees.  Except for a couple of calls on Joe Benigno’s show regarding the Mets wonderful sweep, all the talk was around what the Yankees must do.  Fire Torre, don’t fire Torre…trade A-Rod, don’t trade A-Rod.  Gees, the Mets are the Rodney Dangerfield of baseball!
