For you baseball junkies out there, SNY will be televising all of the Caribbean World Series (CWS) games starting next Friday. Based on the times in the SNY TV schedule, it appears that some games will be live while others will be tape delay. The Championship rounds in the Venezuelan, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Mexican Winter Leagues are now complete. The four winners of the winter leagues will play in the CWS in a round robin format. Each team will play a total of 6 games, playing 2 games against the other 3 opponents. There are a total of 12 games in the series. The team with the best record overall is the CWS Champion. All games are played even if some become unnecessary. Last year, Caracas of Venezuela won the CWS.
