If you have no life, like me, and want to know what to do till Friday when the Mets start the second half in Chicago, here’s a list of baseball related stuff that can be found on the tube over the next 4 days.

Monday

11:00AM till 8:00PM – ESPN Classics

Recorded – Past Home Run Derby contests condensed into 1 hour each. Just when you thought you couldn’t see enough home runs.

2:00PM - SNY

Recorded - Yesterday's Mets win over the Marlins is repeated - till 5:00PM

7:00PM – SNY

Live - The Brooklyn Cyclones take on the State College Spike (formally the New Jersey Cardinals) from Keyspan Park in Brooklyn. See the future Mets

8:00PM – ESPN

Live - Home Run Derby with David Wright competing. Now I really don’t expect David to win this because he is a solid .300 hitter with power, not a home run hitter.

Tuesday

1:00PM till 8:00PM – ESPN Classics

Recorded – All Star Games from the past all condensed into 30 minute segments. A good way for young fans to learn about All Star history—really some great moments.

2:00PM till 5:00PM – SNY

Recorded – Repeat of Monday’s Cyclone’s game.

8:00PM – FOX

Live – All Star Game from Pittsburgh with Mets starters Carlos Beltran, Paul Lo Duca, and David Wright.

Wednesday

12:00PM – 6:00PM – ESPN Classics

Recorded – 6 Classic baseball games condensed to 1 hour each. Unfortunately none of them features the Mets.

2:00PM – SNY (and repeated again at 7:00PM)

Recorded – Mets vs. Braves at Shea Stadium, Friday evening, September 21, 2001 Classic Mets game as baseball returns to New York for the first time since the events of 9/11. This is a must library entry for any Mets fan. Get your VHS tape or DVD recordable disk ready for this one. 3 hours in length.

6:00PM – ESPN Classic

Recorded - All Time Great World Series – Determine best World Series team of all time in bracket format. 180 minutes. Repeated at midnight.

7:00PM – ESPN2

Live – AAA All Star Game live from Toledo, Ohio

Thursday (Mets have off day)

7:00PM – ESPN2

Live – Second half begins with teams to be determined.
