ESPN reports that Guillermo Mota has been suspended for 50 games starting the 2007 season because of failing a performance enhancement substance test. 

Mota who helped the Mets greatly during the stretch run and post season filed for free agency just the other day.  It is now very doubtful he will return to the Mets since he will not be available till the end of May.
